Dr Puraskar Pateria is a consultant gastroenterologist and interventional endoscopist. He completed his research fellowship and basic physician training at Sir Charles Gairdner hospital in 2015 and advanced training in gastroenterology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital in 2018. He undertook two years of training in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures at Fiona Stanley hospital in Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Enteral stenting and Endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) for gastric and colonic lesions
Dr Pateria currently works as consultant gastroenterologist at Fiona Stanley Hospital and Royal Perth Hospital. He offers clinic at Coastal Gastroenterology, Murdoch and endoscopy services at St John Of God Murdoch and Hollywood Private Hospitals. He has special interest in research and has many research publications including multiple original articles, review articles and case reports.
Dr Pateria has interest in a range of gastroenterological conditions including gastro oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel diseases (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease) and liver diseases including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
