Dr. Oliver Duncan

BSc MBBS FRACP

Dr. Oliver Duncan is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with extensive training within Australia and overseas. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle in 2009 and became a member of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2016, after completing his specialty training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

During his training, Dr. Duncan worked with the Western Australian Liver Transplant Service and also as a Hepatology Fellow at Fiona Stanley Hospital. Most recently, Dr. Duncan moved with his family to Oxford University (UK) for 18 months to complete a Gastroenterology Fellowship at the prestigious John Radcliffe Hospital, working with world leading physicians in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Whilst in Oxford, he also undertook additional training in advanced colonoscopy techniques.

In June 2018, Dr. Duncan relocated back to Perth and he commenced his practice as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Fiona Stanley and Fremantle Hospitals.

Dr. Duncan is skilled in all aspects of general gastroenterology and hepatology and has a special interest in fatty liver disease, hepatitis C and liver cancer. Oliver is actively involved in clinical research and has access to a range of clinical trials in the fields of Hepatology and IBD.
