Dr. Oliver Waters

BSc MBBS FRACP

Dr. Waters is originally from the UK. He completed a pharmacology degree at the University of Edinburgh before studying medicine at Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London, and completed his MBBS in 2001. He has worked in the UK, as well as at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Darlinghurst, Sydney, before moving to WA in 2005. He completed his training in Gastroenterology in 2010, including rotations at Sir Charles Gairdner, Royal Perth and Fremantle Hospitals. Following which he undertook an 18 month clinical research fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease in Exeter, UK.

Dr. Waters is a gastroenterologist who currently works at Fiona Stanley and Fremantle Hospital Group as well as at Coastal Gastroenterology. He provides consultation and endoscopy services at St. John of God Hospital in Murdoch. He has interests in a broad range of gastrointestinal problems including inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, iron deficiency, functional bowel conditions, Clostridiodes difficile, bowel cancer screening, general liver disorders and the gut microbiome.
